Plants enhance our environments in many ways and provide beauty
Join Ciaran on the Tuesday 8th October at Hunting Brook and we will look at how plants make our houses better places to live.
This day course will cover various ways that we can grow plants indoors by understanding the requirements of plants and making use of the latest technologies.
Over the course of the day Ciaran will cover the following:
- House plants including orchids, watering, placement, maintenance and easy to grow types for different situations
- Simple hydroponics; easy systems in which to grow salads and herbs all year round in the house
- How to plant and maintain terrariums
- Cacti and succulents
- Equipment including self watering containers, grow lights and watering equipment
Ciaran Burke is a qualified horticulturist and trainer with over twenty years experience teaching Royal Horticultural Society qualifications. Ciaran now works as a horticulturist is Johnstown Garden Centre and cares for over 180 pots in his rented accommodation in Kildare.
