Full Bloom Borders Masterclass with Jimi Blake

Join Jimi Blake for an exclusive class in the Gardens at Hunting Brook when it is closed to the public

Over the course of the day, Jimi will discuss the design of the main borders in the sunny parts of the garden. This is a wonderful opportunity to examine how he creates borders in his unique style using a tapestry of plants to wonderful effect. Understanding light, colour, form and texture, repetition, balance and linking areas of the garden together. Jimi will talk in-depth about the pallet of plants he uses to create harmony and flow and also the dramatic combinations that give Hunting Brook its exuberance at this time of year

The afternoon will be packed with information about growing techniques and the practicalities of maintaining borders from spring through to winter. Including propagation, plant selection, deadheading, feeding and extending the seasons

How to use Dahlias, Salvias and annuals to create colour for summer colour

He will give you an insight into how to group colours and plants for dynamic seasonal effects and you will be guaranteed to go home with lots of new ideas to implement in your own garden or a client’s garden.

Tea/coffee on arrival and mid-morning tea/coffee and cake.
